Lavender Trail Ranch

EXQUISITE, Blanca, Colorado.

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (5)
"Gorgeous area, saw Pronghorn Antelopes, wildflowers prairie dogs and amazing night skies. Isolated but safe close to Sand Dunes and the Sand DunesRecreation area, formerly known as the Hooper Pool. Also close to Zapata Falls, Alamosa, Splashland, Blanca Vista park and the most beautiful trails along the Rio Grande. Mt. Blanca was always present."

A STUNNING OFF GRID PROPERTY, FORT GARLAND, CO Wild Wind Manor

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (7)
"We were pleasantly surprised by the interior space—the pictures don’t do it justice. It is “out there,” probably 5 miles from Blanca, mostly over stone roads. There were no restaurants open in Blanca so eat in Fort Garland or Alamosa or plan to eat out of your cooler. A microwave and small fridge would be welcome additions, otherwise we were very pleased with the accommodation and Sue’s hospitality."

Rustic Rook Resort Great Sand Dunes

2.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (119)
"We stayed at the Rustic Rook due to the proximity to Great Sand Dunes NP. It was extremely quiet, as it was during the week just after labor day -- only one other tent was occupied, which made it relaxing but also a little scary! We stopped in Alamosa for some easy dinner options, but the other couple staying at the time took advantage of the resorts option to have dinner items to grill. It was VERY windy and it rained off an on but the tents stayed dry inside and warm with the wood-burning...

Cabin | Geodome | Hot Tub | Fire Pit | Stargazing Pergola | Great Sand Dunes NP

"We booked this home as it is posted as being in very close proximity to the Great Sand Dunes. While the VRBO posting indicates the home is 4 minutes from the park, it is actually over an hour drive. We did have a fantastic time. The property was beautiful and clean with the exception of fruit and house flies in the main living area. I would recommend it as a great get away relatively close to the national park but be sure to plan accordingly."

Tranquil Lighthouse: Incredible Valley Views

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (10)
"Great view of the San Luis Valley and San Juan Mountains. The main view from the dining room is spectacular! We played games at the table and would stop to discuss the view and watch the sunset. Very inspiring and created a peaceful fun vibe while we played games. Very private and peaceful location. Walkable neighborhood with great views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We drove to the Colorado Gator Farm and were not Disappointed. Rescue reptiles in Colorado so cool! We would defiantly stay...
