"Long stairway up to lobby. Staff carried our luggage up but it was very inconvenient to get to parking. We left to go out to dinner and there was no parking available. I phoned the hotel and they gave me directions to another parking lot which turned out to be several blocks away. We are elderly and this was without a doubt the worst parking situation I have encountered. It was pouring rain and very dark. When we checked in originally we had to pay another $15 because we were 2 hours early....

"The rooms are spacious and each one has a view of the bay. There is plenty of room for putting your suitcases and a small sitting area with a table and 2 chairs. The staff are very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. They upgraded one room to a kitchenette, moved the second room closer to the first and allowed my daughter to have her dog in a non pet room. It is not a fancy hotel but is comfortable and the staff are terrific. I would definitely stay there again. "

"The spot was a great location for an overnight stay next to the ferry. Good location for some dining options. We stayed here during a snow storm and the only thing that sucked was their parking lot did not get plowed once while we stayed. Luckily it wasn't busy so it did not matter where we parked but it made getting in and out of the parking lot quite difficult. "

"My family stayed two nights for a hockey tournament. While this motel needs a reno, it's clean. After a little adjusting and humour about the 70's we leaned in and had a great stay. There were no issues with pests/insects. The mattresses are zipper wrapped with protective casing, nothing getting in or out. I wish all hotels did this. "Overall a great facility. Decent lounge and food. Tim Hortons next door. Subway & Triple O is a 5 minute walk. Wal-Mart & Canadian Tire 8 minutes walk. Whole oittle complex of stores within a 2-3 minute drive. Highly recommended. Small gym on aite. Absolutely recommended this facility if you're in the Duncan area."

Great place by the river

"My partner and I visited with some friends for a nice weekend get away. The house and grounds are very nice, and even though it was quite snowy we were warm and comfortable in the house with the fireplace going.The view of the river and the gazebo are great, but it was a little too cold for that so we enjoyed the sauna instead.Billy is a great host, made sure to stock us up with firewood for the weekend, and was overall great to deal with.Everyone agreed we would go back again when it's warm enough to jump in the river before hitting the sauna."
