Next door to lobby broken and taped up. Lobby not been cleaned for weeks. Cheap lock on door to apartment. Security practically non existent. "Beautiful apartment in lovely, historic building. Extremely tasteful furnishings with fantastic mullioned windows. Very scenic spot with gorgeous views and a very pretty town- Rothbury. Super walks from the house and only 25 minutes from very sandy Alnmouth beach. Our dog loved it all and we, as well as him, were made to feel very welcome by the owner in our communication. "

"Could be a great property if some money was spent on maintenance. It’s in a central location right next to the castle and shops. However, the carpets are stained and need replacing or cleaning. The curtains are falling off the rails. The sofa cushions smell like a dog slept on them. There is also a really noisy outdoor bar next door which plays loud music all day and evening at the weekends. "Beautiful little cottage. Me and my husband took our dog away for a few days in January '25 and this was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was warm and spacious with a view of the garden. The kitchen had everything that you could need and the fire was great to settle down infront of after a long day exploring This was a good base for exploring Northumberland."
