"The villa lies just outside the village of Vámos, which has a great selection of restaurants and cafes. It is ideally located a short drive to the lovely local beaches to the North and Chania and Rethimno both a short drive away. We loved the outside space and pool area, which offered spectacular views towards the White Mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at the villa and hope to return to further explore the area. "

"Leonidas & Michalis are both excellent hosts. The accommodation is beautiful, clean and totally quiet. The private pool is a lovely bonus. The vistas from the roof terrace will stay with us for a lifetime. Lots of excellent tavernas within a short drive. Thank you! 5 stars"

Alkyoni - Apokoron Villa with Large Private Pool and Great Views

Girls trip 2024

"The stay was very good. The villa was clean, we were provided some drinks and fruits. It’s a bit out in the village with some narrow winding roads. We were a group of 10 and were given kids single foldable beds which when we spoke to the Christos the manager and Mrs Frosso the manage to replace with proper single bare. The pool was very good and spent some time in there. We had a chef cook breakfast for us and BBQ for one night which allowed us to enjoy the villa and go around places. The villa is out in the village and you need a car to drive up and down. Overal the experience was great and would do another girls trip"

Fantastic holiday with fiends

"Great villa that was a good size for 10 people. Pool was fantastic and the children spent hours playing. The added bonus is the cleaning service that came in twice during our 9 night stay. I’m glad we had a car so we could see more of the island although the closest village of Almyrida is only 20 minutes walk away that offers everything you need on holiday."

"Lorraine & Stuart were fantastic hosts before & during our stay. A beautiful property with lovely views across to Chania & White Mountains. Very comfortable and amazing pool. (Largest we have had to date). Everything you could need is available making it a home from home experience. Lots of places to discover just a short car journey away including restaurants and beaches as well as supermarkets all in easy reach. "

"We appreciate the thought that Niko put into all the features of the home that made our stay at The One Villa unforgettable! Small details like a charging station built into the kitchen island and filtered drinking water (cold and sparkling) in the kitchen sink as well as an easy-to-use stereo system throughout the inside/outside of the home made our stay comfortable and exciting. Not to mention the tennis court (With a soccer net and basketball hoop) my adult children played on and the many pools we used. Niko gave us many recommendations throughout the area that made our stay more enjoyable."

"Our family and friends enjoyed the beautiful view and pool. Frankie and the housekeepers are super helpful, attentive and friendly. Be prepared for the mosquitos as they are relentless. We would recommend this villa if you are looking for a place that is quiet (you may hear some goats and sheep), close to a few beaches, and has a spectacular view!"
