Decent location. Good price.
The location is pretty good, right off Line 1 (Chuden-mae stop) from Hiroshima train station. Other tram (#3 and #7) also stop there, along with a bunch of different buses. It is walking distance (~1km) to busy downtown area and to the popular atomic museum. The hotel is visibly old, but my room was very clean. It was a little cold during my visit late march. There is AC, but no heat. There is convenient self-serve laundry facility. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was ok (lots of hot and cold items, including eggs and meats). The only thing to be careful of is that there is another Comfort Inn about 3 blocks south, about 50m closer to the tram stop than this one in the opposite direction. (I made this apparently common mistake)

Good location and greast cost performance
The hotel is just on the edge of the downtown area, with a 15 minute walk of almost anything you want to see or do in Hiroshima. Wifi was stable and fast in my room. Breakfast was plentiful but a bit drab. The room was small but that's to be expected in this kind of hotel in Japan. Overall, considering the price, it is a good place to stay if you are out all day and just looking for a place to spend the night. Not recommended if you are looking for a place to kick back and relax.

Good value for well located hotel
A good hotel with comfortable, spotless rooms and fair sized rooms. Well located and helpful staff. Reasonable included breakfast was a bonus. Would recommend.

Economical choice
Don't usually do reviews but thought this one deserved a review since it doesn't have many. Cons: Small room (twin beds) Old, needs renovation - like a Travelodge - but 'clean' thanks to Japanese cleanliness TINY bathroom - cruiseship size, I had to get in side-ways No temp control - slept w/ window cracked open Room smelled a little smokey Comforter had a weird plastic feel Abt $13 taxi from Hiroshima station. Free wi-fi in-room, ok for basic web-browsing, can be slow Amenities: shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, hand/face soap, toothbrush, combs, razors. Japanese business hotel (saw few foreign guests). Only a few staff members spoke (broken) English. But all friendly & courteous. Bkfst was fine (rice balls, breads, miso soup, boiled eggs, a meat, salad, fruit). Convenience store next door. Close to Chuden-mae train stop (tram/streetcar) - can purchase One day pass/One day+Ferry pass at front desk. Very close to Peace Plaza & A-Dome. Close to Hondori Street ('Arcade' w/ shops & restaurants) - ~10 min walk, go Rt from hotel. 2 laundry rooms on-site (floors 9 (non-smoking) & 6 (smoking)), VERY weak driers, had to do 3 sessions ANA Cown Plaza is close-by if you want a nicer hotel Japan tips: CASH (only some places take credit card) - best bet for ATMs are at 7elevens (others are hard to find & prob won't take your card) Public restrooms are generally clean, however, many do NOT provide soap or papertowels/hand-driers

Good value budget hotel.
Easy to get to on the no 24 bus from the station. Hard to find good takeaway food nearby at night as it seemed to be a business district. Plenty of restaurants.

Very satisfied at Comfort Inn Hiroshima
Ideally located and easy to get to from train station on the tram. Rooms and bathroom are small but clean. Interior color of hall way and room are shades of grey which is only negative I have. The complimentary breakfast was Excellent. Hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. We were able to store luggage all day before leaving Hiroshima in the evening. Located only a 15 min walk to the Peace Park. We will stay there again on our next visit.

A nice reprieve
I was travelling around Japan and this hotel was a nice reprieve, mostly because it had a breakfast. The food was good, it was both Western and Japanese, and they had everything labelled in english. It said on the website it was a continental breakfast, but it had more than that - soup, eggs, sausage, buns, yogurt and onigiri one day, with potatoes instead of eggs the next. It is super close to the peace memorial park which is a huge plus. The only negative thing to say is that they have a sister comfort inn down the road a few minutes and you can get the 2 mixed up. If I'm back there, I'd stay there again.

Needs a major reno
This hotel is perfectly situated -- it requires only one tram from the train station to reach, is close to the tram stop, and is close to major sites, restaurants, shops, etc. However, it is quite run down. The room seemed clean, but everything was very old and drab. And despite being on a non-smoking floor, there was still a cigarette odour in the room. The door and lock on the door didn't seem very secure and there was no safe in the room. The price was reasonable and breakfast was included (although it wasn't the greatest breakfast). There are many other hotels that are as conveniently situated as this one that would be much nicer, for not much more money. In the end, staying here did make us change our reservation for another Comfort Inn we had booked later in our trip.

Great value, location and complimentary breakfast
Good location and friendly staff. Complimentary buffet breakfast was an unexpected surprise and very good. Coffee dispenser in foyer was available for unlimited coffee after 3pm. Room was small and bathroom was cramped. However the location and cleanliness made for a very pleasant stay.

Great Hotel with English speaking staff who did there best to make you feel welcome.Room size is slightly bigger than normal "small" japanese hotel's.Very close to A bomb museum etc and nice riverside location. Will stay again if heading back that way.value for money.Includes breakfast..rare for Japan hotels.

inexpensive sleeping place but don't expect more
from what i could see, it would seem this hotel main target are business travelers. as such, it has everything you would need : clean rooms, laundrymat, free breakfast (still good if you don't/can't spend much on food) free internet/wifi spot in lobby. (there probably was wired internet in room but can't tell for sure as i didn't use it) it's really close to memorial park (nice place during cherry blossoms season) so that makes it a good starting point to visit the A-bomb dome and nearby places related to it. other than this, hotel looks pretty blunt and might need some renovation to look more attractive i guess. can't ask for much given how cheap of a place it is though. in the end, that makes it an okay place if you're tight on budget or just don't want to spend much on accomodation in hiroshima.

Basic offering at extraordinary value
Room was basic, hotel was a bit tired looking, but at under $100 this offered the best value we experienced in Japan. Laundry, good Wifi in room and complimentary breakfast. Would definitely go back.

absolutely good for a non high-standard hotel
if you're just looking for a reasonable priced place to stay and you're needing your room more or less just for sleeping, this is more than okay. not high-class but enough even for backpackers, as the price difference to a hostel was not that big, but I enjoyed the private bathroom!

Ok hotel on a budget
It was difficult to use the Japanese computer when doing email as you had to keep shifting to write capital letters. I ended up only writing one email as it took so long. The room was OK but older style and the sink had rust on it as the enamel had worn. The hotel was convenient to the street car. I had to phone the hotel about how to get there. Get off at Chuden mae, on the number 1 street car. It would be good if they had some information on how to get there in their website. The breakfast was OK, lots to eat, mainly asian appeal, such as rice and soup. There are only 2 restaurants in the area and this was disappointing. I would stay near the major department stores (not Sogo as it is not that close to the restaurants) but stay close to department store. There are heaps of restaurants there.
