"This Quinta exceeded our expectations. It is situated in a rural and beautiful area. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. "The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. "This is a beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed the huge rooms, gorgeous dining room, and decent gym. The spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room (which we could not open, and there was no one working there to open it). "A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room.
