"The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. "This is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay. The rooms are excellent, the food wonderful, the staff incredibly accommodating and the natural habitat in which the Other Corner is situated forms perfect backdrop gor wildlife including a birds. The resident wildlife and naturalist Dhilip is a fount of knowledge and made the stay even better. The organic garden and lake are also a bonus. The Other Corner makes an excelllent base for touring the national parks, ancient cities and Sigiriya."

"This was the worst place we stayed on our trip in Sri Lanka and probably the worst on my travels around Asia. "From the moment we walked up, we felt so welcome and comfortable. The manager was incredible at arranging all of our experiences from local temples to the elephant safari and an amazing massage. Food and beverage service is personal and accommodating. We loved the plunge pool at our room, especially after the amazing climb to see Sigiriya Rock! Incredible staff, tranquil property- loved every minute- the peacock even put on a show when we left! "
