"Great location for visiting sigiriya, but despite coming up as "Dambulla" on the map, it's about a 20 minute drive from there. Busses to Dambulla run from the end of the road and are quite regular. The rooms are basic but nice enough. Our room was not dirty but not spotlessly clean either. It had a private patio which was perfect for relaxing. "From the moment we walked up, we felt so welcome and comfortable. The manager was incredible at arranging all of our experiences from local temples to the elephant safari and an amazing massage. Food and beverage service is personal and accommodating. We loved the plunge pool at our room, especially after the amazing climb to see Sigiriya Rock! Incredible staff, tranquil property- loved every minute- the peacock even put on a show when we left! "
