"The cabin itself is so cozy, beautiful and well maintained. It overlooked the lake and was so peaceful to sit on the back deck and look at it while we drank coffee. We stayed during Halloween so we carved pumpkins and baked an apple crumble, which the kitchen was equipped for. I took my boyfriend and my sweet Mom, who has dementia. She couldn't stop saying that she loved the cabin and wanted to live there. She loved looking out the windows and spotting the black squirrels and deer that came almost right up to the front door. Overall we would stay here again and would love to come back in the summer time to play in the lake."

"My mom, two daughters and I had a great time at Northern House! The house was immaculate and the welcome package of snacks, cold waters in the fridge and ice cold mugs was fantastic. The kids loved the arcade area and playing board games on the gorgeous kitchen table! The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and nothing was missed. We watched 2-3 deer twice a day cross right in front of the large picture window in the living room. I had hoped that the kayaks and paddle boards would still be out, but understood given the cold night temperatures. Sunsets and stars were amazing over Meta lake. Would love to come back late summer and fully experience all Meta Lake and Eagle River has to offer!"

"Nice house on Lake George. Fantastic view of the lake. Great location for everywhere I went to hunt with my dogs. They liked it too, especially the squirrels. Bed was comfy and couch very comfy. Couple of quirks as any house has. Not a deal breaker. "

"This is a nice location. We have stayed here the last 3 years. The hosts are always very quick to respond. There are neighbors but the house and hot tub are private. The lake is lovely. There's nothing more we could have wanted."
