"This was an amazing small cabin that we enjoyed staying at!"

"My mom, two daughters and I had a great time at Northern House! The house was immaculate and the welcome package of snacks, cold waters in the fridge and ice cold mugs was fantastic. The kids loved the arcade area and playing board games on the gorgeous kitchen table! The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and nothing was missed. We watched 2-3 deer twice a day cross right in front of the large picture window in the living room. I had hoped that the kayaks and paddle boards would still be out, but understood given the cold night temperatures. Sunsets and stars were amazing over Meta lake. Would love to come back late summer and fully experience all Meta Lake and Eagle River has to offer!"

"Nice house on Lake George. Fantastic view of the lake. Great location for everywhere I went to hunt with my dogs. They liked it too, especially the squirrels. Bed was comfy and couch very comfy. Couple of quirks as any house has. Not a deal breaker. "

"This is a nice location. We have stayed here the last 3 years. The hosts are always very quick to respond. There are neighbors but the house and hot tub are private. The lake is lovely. There's nothing more we could have wanted."

"I am disappointed by this rental process. I’ve enjoyed prior rentals that are Hosted by the Owner...as in the vrBO title. Vacasa is a management company, and they unfortunately knew nothing about the property except what was described on the site, and some of that was inaccurate. They couldn’t tell me what levels the bedrooms and bathrooms were on, or if any had en-suite bathrooms. They are not prompt responding to messaging, if they respond at all. Hours on the phone didn’t get me help or simple information. The online link to the rental agreement didn't work when I originally booked the property, so I included a message on the booking requesting a copy to review before the downpayment was put through. I was immediately charged for the VRBO share and the Vacasa charge was close behind. I never received a response to my message. VRBO was not able to help and referred me back to the host, Vacasa. After finally reaching Vacasa by phone I was told I had already signed the agreement I never saw, and I should log into their site to see the document linked to my reservation number. I have never had such poor customer service, especially when we encountered an issue during our stay! When the stove fuse blew while making supper and the box was in a locked room, the local person was so slow responding that I called Vacasa. We were told we'd have to wait until morning for maintenance. I will never rent another property that is "hosted by Vacasa"!"
