"This is a really nice hotel - included very nice elements of Sri Lankan culture while maintaining all of the modern comforts you would expect out of a 4 star hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the pool area was super nice with great views of the ocean from every chair. Very relaxing. Wifi was also very strong throughout the entire resort grounds, and food was delicious with a lot of options in the buffet. The surrounding town of Hikkaduwa isn't the nicest, but you won't want to leave the resort so it's okay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Golden, stayed the whole of in February 2025, hence returning next year (2026). Susantha (House Manager) is a credit to the business, welcoming, professional, very helpful and great with the arrangement of tours and travelling. The staff team were very friendly making us always feel at home. Their attention to detail was very good, attentive but not intrusive. The breakfast and all meals cooked for us were very good and we very much enjoyed the cookery session. Very good standard of cleanliness with the bedrooms being very comfortable. The large pool, access to the beach, the hammocks and the swing seat were all great and made for a great stay. The house, the location and the people of Sri-Lanka made our Sri-Lanka stay feel like home. Would very much recommend this accommodation to friends and family. We arrived as strangers and left as friends."

"We had the best time at Serendipity Lake house. Chathuranga was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the food is delicious. It’s very clean and well kept, oh and the boat trip around the lake and kayaking are a must! Thank you for making our time with you so special 🙏 "

"Sweet place to stay…right on the beach! Turtles were there…surrounded by tourists! The staff were friendly and kind. Obs not luxury but for a cheap time on the beach very good! Outstanding curry at The Bistro "

"Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Very relaxing vibe. Spotted lots of birds without moving from our balcony. Although in peaceful location, easy to get tuk tuk to busier resort area. "

"A beautiful tranquil stay, great for relaxing and disconnecting. Brilliant spa facilities on-site for massages with especially caring staff. Our butler Roshan was fantastic, when he came to know we were unwell he organised a complimentary herbal inhalation session at the spa, brought us lots of honey and kept checking on us to see what we needed. The condition of the property was super clean, the staff are very mindful to let you enjoy your space and experience. The views are stunning, we had a peacock on the terrace every morning! Food at the property was delicious, definitely a worthwhile escape in the jungle for some downtime!"

"Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe slow at peak times but you need to understand that food is made to order and NOT premade. Breakfast is a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, with a good selection of breads, fruits and juices. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel."
