This is a lovely place to go exploring at any time of the year. There is a walking track along the river that leads to a number of platforms, which has beautiful views over the falls.

After a decent winters rain, it's great for photographers. In summer you can find a lot of skinks here. Great biodiversity. #lovemytown

Belmont Common is one of my favourite birdwatching areas in Geelong. There is a bird hide at Jerringot Wildlife Research. You get a lot of waterbirds in the area and also the occasional bird of prey. It's well known for crakes, rails and lathams snipe. #localgem
