Welcome to Honey Bee Hideaway, where year-long views and mountain charm await you! Named after our passion for harvesting honey from our Georgia bee farm, our 3BR, 2BA home is a sweet retreat for families and pets.

Nestled just minutes away from Main Street's dining, shops, and art galleries in downtown Highlands, NC, and only 1 mile from the breathtaking Glen Falls. Explore nearby trails and waterfalls before returning to the comforts of Honey Bee Hideaway.

The town of Highlands offers diverse activities, from shopping and antiquing to hiking, fishing, and waterfall sightseeing.

Explore the Recreation Park with tennis, pickleball, and a year-round indoor/outdoor pool for a minimal fee. As you depart, discover sweet mementos left for you, a remembrance of your visit to Highlands and your stay at Honey Bee Hideaway. We hope to host you soon and "bee" blessed!

**There are bears in the area. Never feed or approach any wildlife. Please keep your dogs on a leash while walking the neighborhood. Please make sure to keep your cars locked and windows closed. Bears can open car doors and they climb into cars if windows are left down. Bears roam the area looking for food. They generally run away if you make a loud noise. In order to reduce their presence, please remember to not leave food outside in your car. Please use the bear proof trashcan on the back porch.

UPDATED 8/2024 Potential for noise: A construction project has started up the street. Our neighbors are building. This project will not impact parking or access to the house but could result in noise 7 am – 5pm.

Loved the honeybee hide away! Perfect location - very close to town and other outdoor adventures. Very well stocked - had everything we needed and more! Kids loved the loft area and adults loved the expansive porch with rocking chairs. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Very nice house and good location
House is mostly one level which is great for older folks. Deck, both covered and open to enjoy a lovely long range view. Close enough to town to run to the grocery store yet nestled in a safe neighborhood. Been to Highlands many times and this is one the nicest houses I have rented.

Great stay at Honey Bee Hideaway.
The house is beautiful and very convenient with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on one floor. The newly renovated back deck is awesome and a great place to hang and enjoy the view. Trista was a very helpful and accommodating host. She was quick to answer our messages and was super gracious when we needed to reschedule our trip. We would definitely stay again at the lovely Honey Bee Hideaway.

Nice clean updated cabin with new back porch addition
The cabin was spotless and was decorated nicely with an original theme related to Honeybees. The area was in a peaceful neighborhood and the new back porch addition was a plus for the house. We spent lots of time sitting and looking at the great view. The owners put a lot of thought into making this cabin (inside and out) a peaceful retreat for us.

The Perfect Getaway Spot
This property is a true gem. The location is convenient to all things the Highlands area has to offer while offering the right amount of seclusion. The home is spacious without feeling overwhelming and the grounds are well maintained. We look forward to staying here again and again!

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Very clean and spacious with nice sized rooms to spread out. Privacy when traveling with friends as bedrooms were separated with family room and kitchen in between. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Retreat
We enjoyed our stay at Honey Bee Hideaway! Beautiful views and breezes off the back porch in the morning and lovely sunlit afternoons were enjoyed each day. So many fun hikes to mountaintops and waterfalls that were a short drive away. Also nice to be close to town and grocery stores as we cooked in the fully equipped kitchen and also nice grill. We will return to this cozy home!

Outstanding Hospitality
Trista is an outstanding hostess. She seeks out feedback from her guests so that she can make the house more comfortable and inviting. There was a basket of snacks on the counter and a notebook on the coffee table with information about the house and things to do in Highlands. The best part of the house is its gorgeous deck and fireplace with a lovely view. I highly recommend a stay at the Honeybee Hideaway.

BEE-utiful weekend getaway!
This was my first trip to Highlands, and this home was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for the weekend! Not only is it spacious and clean, it’s also the perfect distance to downtown Highlands to shop and eat! We loved all of the little touches that you could tell went into this home. We would absolutely be back on our next trip to Highlands, with our pup of course!

Wonderful Bisit in Highlands
VERY clean cabin! Love the honeybee decor. One of my favorite places at the cabin? The rockets on the the large back deck looking out to the mountains! The cabin is outfitted with everything we could have needed. Quiet environment and somewhat secluded while the trees still have leaves. Would most definitely recommend the Honeybee Hideway…would stay here again.

Great Peaceful Stay
We truly enjoyed our stay. We have three daughters 7 and under. They loved the home. Watching the sunset, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and then sitting in front of a fire inside was just the relaxation we needed. The location was PERFECT! A short easy drive to town. We started our stay with a walk to Glen Falls! Such a magical hike to begin our vacation. The kitchen was well appointed. The house was also clean and the beds were comfortable.
