"My family had a lovely stay at Bellflower Cottage on the working, peaceful Twyford Farm. Hosts were kind and we appreciated the welcome goodies and mince pies. Although the weather was cold, we were comfortably warm and appreciated the kindling and wood. Check in and out were a breeze."

"We stayed in the cottage at Tovey Lodge. It was very dated, which was fine, but it was also worn out. The sofa bed needs replacing due to peeling material and the mattress on this was so thin there is no way an adult could sleep on there. Luckily our 7 year old can sleep anywhere. The main bed was uncomfortable with a too small mattress topper which didn't reach the edges and because of this we only stayed for two of the three nights we had booked as we needed sleep. "Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. "

"This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We tried to set off the dishwasher just the once, but the top shelf was attached by elastic bands and so we didn't risk putting anything there. Had we been going to stay longer I would...

"We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!"

"The apartments are lovely, and have everything you need; washing machine, microwave, toaster, oven etc. The only thing that would stop me coming again, is the exorbitant price charged for dogs. £20 per dog PER NIGHT! We have 2 small dogs, staying for 5 nights which would be an extra £200 on the bill! We queried it, and they reduced it to £15 per dog per night. But that is still an extra £150. Other places we have stayed in, charge between £20-£50 per stay. So, as lovely and convenient as it is,...
