"Hotel Rapids was a wonderful hotel to stay in! The staff was all super friendly and when we had to switch rooms because of a security issue they offered to help us out with moving our stuff to the new room. I love that they were so approachable about things and made sure the stay was as comfortable as it could be. "This is the third time I've got the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place. Super friendly owners who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is incredible. I accidentally locked myself out of my room close to midnight after the office was closed and I had to contact them to get a second key and not only were they understanding they were so kind I couldn't believe it. Anytime I stay up on the range that is my go-to place so if you're on the fence stay here I guarantee you will love it"

"This is a classic motel recently redone with a "Room and Board" vibe. It was clean and comfortable and once everyone settled into their rooms quiet (I slept through the night). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. My only suggestion is more lighting on the far end of the room, but it seems limited by the number of outlets."

"The room was large, clean. Beds and linens very comfortable. The only ice is from ice maker in each room in freezer. Ours was turned off so there was no ice. Price was very reasonable. Free coffee in morning. Only one elevator. Nice and quiet. "

Don't put hot water in a coffee carafe!

"I'm giving it a 4.9 out of 5 stars only because of the hot drinking water in the breakfast area. This seems to be a problem in most hotels. There are 3 carafes, one for regular coffee, one for decaf, and one for hot water. As someone who can only drink hot water, not coffee or tea for health reasons, it absolutely drives me nuts that a hotel can't designate the hot water carafe for hot water only! It's GROSS to take a sip of your water and it tastes like coffee because they are using a carafe that has been used for coffee! That was my only complaint. "

Wonderful Small Hotel

"Hotel Rapids was a wonderful hotel to stay in! "Our group of four enjoyed the comforts of the house and the wonders of the SaxZim Bog. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for a great experience!"
