Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
poor service, lack of info, rooms dated
the hotel is certainly better on the outside than inside. we arrived atound 11pm but had advised them of this prior to arrival. there was no one at reception and the bar man shouted fof us to come to the bar instead. he then spent 15 mins with us wandering around the hotel trying to find the room. he said he was new and didnt know where it was. on finding the room didn't look like any photos. the bed was against the wall and you had to crawl to the bottom if you needed the loo in the night, banging your legs on the furniture at the bottom. we paid extra to be moved and were shown 4 other rooms, they weren't much better. we settled on the most expensive room, which was dated. after 2 days of it not being cleaned we queried and we were told it was the extra cost and had to tell them if we wanted it clean. which we did. we got back late the next day to d
find the beds made, towels changed but only 1 bin emptied and the floors and table had not been wiped. we complained the next morning and were then told that they only cleaned if they were asked due to covid, which we had not been told at check in or moving rooms. this didn't explain why the half job. we were told if we wanted it cleaned we need to book it in the night before, which we explained that we had and it wasn't done properly and wanted it done again but was told it was too late for that day. thinking they would do it the next day and they didnt bother again. poor service, tired and worn rooms. will never go again
