"My partner and I had a wonderful stay here for 3 days, we had no issues at all. The location is very central to Frome, so we didn't have to walk far to get to the places we wanted to visit. I read in other reviews that the car park is small and difficult to park in, so we parked in other carparks near. The service from the staff was definitely a highlight - Wayne is fantastic! in the evening, he was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. We felt very welcome. The staff who were working in the morning were also very nice and accommodating, although we didn't catch their names. The room was good and both breakfasts and dinners were also very good, and had decent menus. Considering the price, we feel that the George Inn is difficult to beat and exceeded all expectations "

"Location: Hotel is sited close to the Cathedral and the heart of the city. The only major drawback for some might be the lack of a car park although this did not affect me as I arrived by bus with a bus stop just a few yards away from the hotel. Room: My room although a little dark was well equipped and very quiet. The bathroom has rather dated with a deep bath and a shower that had to be hand held with no shower screen or curtain. Overall the room was very comfortable and I certainly had a good night’s sleep. Food/Drink: There is the offer of a very basic and limited continental breakfast or a good range of cooked breakfasts if you prefer. The hotel has an excellent range of craft beers and serves a range of evening meals. Staff: Very welcoming and helpful. Overall: If Wells is your destination I would certainly recommend staying here. "Our stay was everything that was promised in the literature. Clean room and bathroom, well stocked tea tray, lovely hot water shower and bath. We did experience an issue with the toilet cistern not refilling but staff were on hand immediately it was reported and rectified the problem. Well done! Cooked to order breakfast with good quality tasty ingredients. Would stay here again and recommend to others. A quick touch up of paintwork on the bathroom skirting under the radiator would make it look make it look a whole lot better being the only negative comment."
