"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. "The Hen House has only a few rooms.. Huge tea bags, hot choc etc. in room.. Nice friendly pub, in a delightful village. The only thing missing, was bed side table lamps! I slept well left feeling relaxed Thank you "
