Kitchen recycling, garbage, and compost systems in place; please take all waste and recycling with you when you leave. All utensils and cooking equipment available in modern kitchen. Board games, flat screen TV, and DVD player provided. Flat screen TV has HDMI port should you wish to bring HDMI cable and connect your device for other means of viewing. Half an hour away is the attractive town of Campbellford at the Trent River with restaurants, award-winning regional bakery (Dooher's), small shops, picnicking, large No Frills grocery store, and hospital. Also in Campbellford is the Westben barn theatre in summer with professional productions. 15 minutes away in Cordova Mines is a spa and wellness retreat, "Back to Health," offering massages, cooking instruction, and other wellness services. 20 minutes from the picturesque waterside town of Marmora. Half an hour to historic Petrogylphs caves and provincial park. A short distance south of Campbellford is the attractive town of Brighton with shops, antiques, and Presqu’ile Provincial Park with hiking, birding, and beaches. 1.5 hours to Prince Edward County towns and small lot wineries of excellent quality. No smoking inside or on cottage property. No parties. No loud music at any time. Any noise stops at 11pm. Please leave property tidy and property or interior/s and equipment undamaged and all garbage, removed; a fee of $150 will be charged for any mess left or items damaged or broken. Dog owners are welcome to dispose of dog waste as per note in the cottage. Do not leave on the grounds otherwise, whether bagged or not.
