Initial contact was a bit difficult, but after nudging again we got a quick reply regarding check in and everything went smoothly, even though we arrived a lot earlier than expected. Rachel was a lovely and welcoming host. The room was nice and clean and breakfast was great.

Best Casa in Havana!
An amazing Casa in a very good location. Breakfast always good too! Cubans very friendly and although the street may look a little run down, very safe!

Rachel and Camilo are a lovely couple. The house is perfectly clean and the bed is super comfy. The location is great since it's close to the old Havana. Very good breakfast. Really recommend.

Amazing place to stay. The surrounding area was run down but that is an example of Havana. The apartment was fabulous, clean, air conditioner. Owners are wonderful, helpful. Stay here instead of resort. Remember to bring tons of US cash. Assume you can not use ATM, debit card or credit card anywhere. Only cash in your dollars with host not the bank.

We liked this accommodation a lot. The building had character and the hosts were very gracious and attentive. The breakfast was well-balanced, wholesome and nicely presented. It was a very favourable Cuban experience. After getting oriented to the immediate neighborhood we felt safe as pedestrians navigating the streets. Much more interesting than staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Great place for 6 people!
Rachel is a great host. The apartment is large and in a great location. The building is not in a great condition but the apartment is amazing! Delicious breakfast. I highly recommend it if you’d like to be with the locals and not scared of the way the exterior looks. Great rate for a family of 6. Each two people have a private room with a private modern bathroom. Beds could be separated too!

My husband Steve and I just spent a week at Casa Real Habana. Camilo greeted us outside when we arrived and took us upstairs where we met his wife Rachel. Rachel speaks English's quite well. So interacting with her was with ease as we do not speak Spanish. Our room was very clean and cleaned every day which was nice. The bed was a king and very comfortable, there was always hot water for showers and good water pressure. We were served breakfast every morning that was eggs, toast, fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice, coffee or tea and jam. Was very delicious and a great way to start the day. Rachel set up reservations for us at Legendarios del Guajirito where we had dinner and a show. we had an amazing night out. And the best part was it was only a 2 minute walk back to the hotel. This place is about a 4 minute walk to the Capital Building where there is a bevy of eateries and shopping. We would highly recommend a stay at Casa Real Habana. Super friendly staff. We felt very comfortable and safe there always. Try it out… Super clean and safe Super friendly staff Super close and walkable to everything Enjoy your stay…Steve and Abby
