"very comfortable and lovely hotel in the centre of the town, with rooms all slightly different. Super comfy beds. Great to have a coffee machine/kettle in the room. Shower opens directly into the bedroom area, and the sink unit is also in the bedroom area too. Although not a big problem on this occasion would prefer a 'traditional' bathroom with the shower and sink unit out of site of the sleeping area. Breakfast is selected from a menu, but all arrives at the same time. So it's either...

"In the middle of vacation it is obviously busy. Most guests are families with kids that creates a noisy and busy atmosphere. For a 4 star hotel a bit "cheap", but for families with kids it must be really nice. With I guess 600-700 guests you feel a bit like cattle, but basic issues like quality of the beds and nice bad/shower/water pressure/airco are nice! Decent breakfast, but again, busy in top summer time, which is expected."

"Stayed here with my tour group the night of October 8. The main building of the hotel is over 300 years old, and this hotel screams character. Some of the stairs are quite steep, but have no fear, they have elevators. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms felt a bit spartan but were very comfortable. Bathroom had a tub and a seperate shower stall. The fixtures reminded me of my grandmothers home. The breakfast was very good and well worth the price. If I were to travel to Gronnigen I would...

"The location is good, there is a super market right a cross the street and many restaurants in the area. Only thing what we did not like, is that the sink in the bathroom was not working properly. For the rest, the breakfast buffet was good. "
