"We really enjoyed our stay at Hatteras Island Inn! It’s a small, quiet hotel tucked away in Cape Hatteras, close to the beach, the lighthouses, and some great local restaurants. The room was very clean, and while the place does show a little bit of its age, it didn’t bother us at all. The mattress was on the firmer side, great for me, but not quite my husband’s favorite. He also would’ve liked a smart TV in the room, but those were pretty minor things. Overall, it was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway, and the price felt fair for the area. We’d definitely stay again if the rates stay affordable!"

"Other than a slightly leaky toilet, it was great! Property even has Adirondack chairs at each unit. Which was awesome to watch the sunrise/sunset. And the beach was right behind our unit. I will definitely revisit this location again."

"Hidden Gem is a lovely house. Very neat and clean. Outstanding location with beautiful ocean views and a very short walk to the beach. The house is very spacious and very comfortable. Be sure to take all kitchen condiments, personal care products, extra paper towels, trash bags with you. We look forward to a repeat vacation at Hidden Gem. "

"We loved the property location, amenities, and overall layout of the property. It was just as advertised, ready when we arrived, and the check in process was easy. The kitchen was amazing! Two of every appliance and fully stocked with the necessary utensils for large group cooking. We did not go out for dinner once. Our family included 8 adults and 7 children and this property was perfect for every age. The pool area access was safe (high door knobs/locks), fenced in yard was private, and theatre room was great for some wind down time before bed. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect all inclusive vacation spot for their family or friends.We did have a couple of items that needed attention and were not resolved during our stay. First, the pool was not clean when we arrived (Sunday). We called maintenance for a request to clean the pool and a person came to the house on Monday and said he would be by on Wednesday to clean it. He never came back. Second, the patio door of the master suite (4th floor) fell right off its hinges (from very small screws holding a very heavy door). We called maintenance on Saturday for a repair and I did not hear back from maintenance until 5 days later (3 days after we left the property). It was the first time visiting the OBX area and the best vacation we have had in years."

"Loved the views of the ocean, loved the 2 dishwashers and refrigerators, also 2 hot tubs, great for large family. also the elevator was nice for bringing up heavy groceries, very nice set up with 3 king bedrooms and private bathrooms on the second level, also 2 nice Kings with bath on lower level, had some issues with the downstairs air conditioner in master bedroom, the owner responded immediately, and was in the prosses of repairing the unit, a discount was given for a future rental."
