"My husband and I came to the fox den with our two Golden Retrievers for a birthday getaway. The cabin itself is wonderful, updated, well appointed, cutely decorated, very clean, and cozy! The bed was SOOOOO comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was much better than expected. The fireplace added to the ambience and provided very sufficient heating. Despite staying over 2 snowstorms, we didn't have any major issues accessing the cabin. I will say we have a 4runner with excellent...

"We loved our location and accommodations in Leadville. Great place, location to downtown and view from the rooftop. Rooms were comfortable and kitchen well appointed. We will be back. Only issue is I had no code to get in. He said he sent it a month before but was not sent. Get code before you don’t have service on the way there. "

"This house was amazing. So many beautiful rooms and views. We even saw a Moose while staying there. My only caution is that the place is greater than 10,000 feet and some of my family members couldn’t handle that altitude. Other than that, it is the perfect place for a family getaway. "

"This was our choice VRBO for 10 of us, college sorority sisters from 35 years prior! The house accommodated us very well. Check-in/-out: straightforward, easy. Granted early check in when my flight changed to an earlier arrival time. Appreciated that flexibility. Ample-sized great room: a wonderful gathering place for visiting & relax with a glass of wine. Large dining table was perfect for our group meals. Kitchen dishware was well-stocked for large groups. We even found a few unexpected spices...

"Unbelievable, gorgeous views of several of the peaks in the 10 mile range from the deck. Gas grill works great. Nice gas fireplace. We had a great time. This unit needs some serious updates though. The bedroom/bathroom in the basement were disappointing with stains on the ceiling tiles, an outdated old bathroom, a ton of wires around the tv… had clean sheets but they had old blood drops on them and found some hairs in the bed…Kitchen could use some modernizing of cabinets and equipment. "We absolutely enjoyed staying here. Everything was just picture perfect! The snow was just the cherry on top! We loved all of the amenities that it had to offer. It has heated floors! Did i mention it has heated floors! The view from the front windows was just beautiful. We will definitely be back."

"Cute house right on the river. We loved the hot tub on the deck looking at the river. Also loved the high ceiling in the family/TV room with a big couch so we could all hang out together. Small kitchen but had everything we needed. A short 10 min drive to Buena Vista with restaurants and shops. We skied at monarch which was great - about 40 min drive. Stopped in Salida a couple times for dinner - cute little mountain town! Highlight of the trip was Mount Princeton hot springs, just 10 min away....
