"Sehr schönes Ferienhaus im schönen Städtchen Grou. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist super und besonders hat uns der große Wohnraum mit offener Küche und großer Terrasse mit Blick aufs Wasser gefallen. Für Familien absolut empfehlenswert, für zwei Parteien sind die Schlafzimmer evtl. ein bisschen zu klein."

The holiday resort in which it is located offers rental boats, a billard table, tennis courts, crazy golf, a play park, wind surfing, kite surfing and fresh bakery products in the morning. The beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, but you can use the bicycles provided and get there in 5. The house is perfect; spotlessly clean, lots of space and every commodity...

"We were visiting for a regatta at Medemblik, and would definitely stay here again. Compared to other properties our friends were staying at, this was larger, more modern and great space indoors and out. About a 5 minute drive to the regatta centre."

"Ein wirklich schönes Haus mit großem Grundstück, toll für Hunde, da es von der Hecke ganz eingeschlossen ist. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es hat nicht gefehlt. Wir würden vor den Fenster und Türen allerdings Mückenschutzgitter empfehlen."

"Accommodation was fine. Lovely little pub 5 min walk from property. Only problem was getting the key from reception as they said didn't seem to know we were arriving. They also couldn't find the key after speaking to the owner, eventually gave me the spare key but it was a bit stressful at the time. I must point that this was reception's fault and not the owner of the property."

"Smelled like somone was smoking inside just before we got there. Blankets had obvious stains on them. Double bed was 2 nylon covered mattresses pushed together. Made for a very uncomfortable night. "

"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

"I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and we really enjoyed it. The town is very quiet but it's a short drive to cities like Leeuwarden and Harlingen for activities. There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. Two bicycles are provided for use so I would hop on after dinner and explore the beautiful countryside. The property is spacious for two adults and very clean and comfortable. "We had a wonderful stay in Medenblik in this lovely holiday home on the Ijsselmeer. The house had everything we needed, including a lockable shed for bike storage, and the garden with decking directly on the waterway was the perfect place to return to after a busy day cycling. The area has lots to see and visit (as cyclists, we were spoilt for choice). We had a super week, and hope to return one day soon."
