"What a lovely resort at the top of Horseshoe Valley mountain! Carriage Ridge Resort is quiet, safe, the rooms are clean and plentiful for a couple nights stay. If you're a skier/snowboarder, the bonus is being able to walk onto the mountain and ski into the resort instead of driving to horseshoe. Foodland is 10 minutes away if you need food as well. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for another ski/golf getaway!"

"This is an end unit with a lot of natural light, a nice back area, access to a BBQ. It was very clean had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in and out was super easy and it was a great location. We will definitely book again. "

"The studio apartment is in a lovely complex - beautiful in the fall with the changing leaves and a nice residential type area to walk around in. It’s close to some nice family activities - tree top trekking, horseback riding and I understand there are skiing options nearby in winter. A highlight for me was that it was walking distance to the Vettä Nordic spa. Dining in the area was a bit limited, but I was able to order Uber Eats when I wanted it (from Barrie). The kitchen in the studio is a bit limited for a longer stay - something I wish I’d realized but was no fault of the hosts. What they had would have been sufficient for a shorter stay or someone with limited cooking needs - mini fridge, microwave, toaster, blender and all cutlery. I made it through but would probably have rented their other property in retrospect for my five day stay. The complex is great - good pool and gym area that are easy to access. The outdoor facilities are nice as well - a fire pit and bbq area, and a playground for families. The space itself is a bit dated in terms of decoration and furniture, but it is comfortable and functional. The bed in particular was very comfortable. There was some noise from the neighbours - you can hear when the neighbouring unit come into the joint hallway, which can be a bit disruptive. The owners have put signage up to be mindful but the other guests may or may not adhere. It was manageable during my stay but could bother some folks. Overall a great stay! "

"My husband and our 3 kids, as well as our pup, really enjoyed this stay! So much room, we had our privacy as well which was nice! Beautiful units, beautiful area, pool was a blast. There’s a gas fire pit outside and BBQs open for use - we barely needed to leave the property for anything other than to get our groceries. We did Elmvale zoo and the 400 market, everything was close and easy to get to! Definitely will book again. Host was great and easy to communicate with for any needs that arose! "

She was always quick to reply to any questions or concerns, and prompt to message each evening and morning to ensure no issues arose during our stay. The condo in proximity to our parking space was perfect to unload, even at night the area was impressively well lite. I appreciated the perfect escape with a friend to relax in nature and enjoy the impressive living space, while recharging with a big music festival weekend! I would absolutely stay again. "
