The only thing we could have used was info on where the transfer station was, how to get the bedroom TV to work (we figured it out, though) & a starter roll of paper towels. Aside from these minute issues, this is a wonderful cabin to escape to! I’d definitely stay here again! "

"Clean, nicely appointed small getaway without all the hubbub of other places on MDI. Suited the needs of two participants in MDI marathon/ half marathon. As stated in property description, there is a ladder to the sleeping loft but one with which sore runners had no problem. Assume the water is heated by tankless heater because hot/water available upon demand. Nice!!! We were there 3 nights, would liked to have stayed longer. Great jumping off place to explore the island. Highly recommend."

For starters, the house is fully stocked with everything you need (kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, etc), the beds are comfortable, the place was spotless, and the hosts are there if you need them but you rarely see them and they are SO friendly. The location is incredible, it’s near this very sweet town called Stonington, which has amazing lobster, beautiful harbour views, and the perfect place to walk around and see what Maine is about. We loaded up on groceries at Hannaford in Blue Hill (30ish minutes away) and spent nearly 5 days resting, sea kayaking, catching crabs, roasting marshmallows, reading and playing cribbage. "The home was just like the pictures showed. However it was not very clean inside. The bedroom upstairs was very dirty by the bed and the kitchen was dirty as well. The distance from all cities for food, coffee and hiking was perfect. The rental company that was used was not so good.
