The locale is great if you'd like to ditch your car and walk to restaurants; and bike on nearby trails! We are only cautioning that IF you plan to cook your own meals, the kitchen set-up is on the 2nd floor with the bedroom. "The property was exactly as described, but was more spacious than I was actually expecting. I had never been to Acadia before and when I was unable to get a park pass at one of the service locations (off season) I was able to purchase it online and the owners were nice enough to print me a copy to display on my car dashboard"

"The cottage was clean and charming with everything you might need. The view of the sunset over the bay was breathtaking and different every evening. Pinelodge Cottage is convenient to everything on Mount Desert Island, but is a nice escape from the crowds on the east side of the island. "The cabin is tiny, but clean. There are communal areas to hang out and get more space if you need it, with some dishes and other supplies. Great communication from the property manager. The cabin was noisy and the white noise machine didn't work, but I was able to use the white noise machine on my phone. Also, there was a coffee maker but no cups. Overall, a pleasant enough stay."
