"I really loved the staff and I did enjoy the resort but there are a few things that need attention. I like that you can go to the other Rio resort as well. I will say the buffet was great for breakfast and lunch but at dinner time it was not so great. The seating was a little unorganized at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some people would just be told to sit anywhere and there would be someone sitting there already so it caused some confusion and frustration with some guests. The A La Carte restaurants were not explained properly at the front desk. We were told to go at 530pm to make the line and then we would receive a beeper to come back when a table was ready but that was not the case at all. We needed to go back once they opened and see if they had any tables for the night. The pool bar staff (Calero, Christopher and Richard) were amazing and the drinks were always on point. Pool entertainment was good. Naye always made her way around talking to everyone and I loved that she was so personable. Night shows were pretty good. The room was cleaned everyday but our TV did not work. I called a few times and went to the front desk several times and no one ever came to fix it. The beach was a black sand beach and wasn’t too pretty. The amount of solicitors on the beach was insane! We walked down there once in our 6 day stay and that was enough. I would definitely go back and give it another try. "

"If I could rate this property more than 5 Stars I would. From the moment you arrive you are swept away with beautiful views of the house itself the countryside, and the ocean surrounding it. The property manager met us there to show us around, meet the housekeeper and the on-site security guard. Every furnishing in the home is top-notch and we had plenty of space for our large group. All of the rooms were fully stocked with any possible amenity we needed. We did the grocery delivery service and not only was everything delivered, it was put away for us when we arrived. Literally did not need to do anything the whole week. Communication with the host was excellent. The walk to the beach was easy and there are many restaurants and stores close by. Cannot wait to return to this villa one day and will be definitely referring it to friends."

"Villa 4 at Bahia Pez Vela was such a gem! The house and amenities were perfect and just as described. The private pool is bigger than I imagined and so perfect after having been at the beach all day. The jets were a game changer! The kitchen is huge with everything you could need and the washer/dryer came in handy as well. Once booked, LaRaye sent very detailed notes regarding the property and extremely useful tips and recommendations. Caesar at the property was very accommodating and helpful with booking transfers and activities. Second time coming to Costa Rica and I will definitely be back to this villa! LOVED it!"
