"Interesting place and very nice people. The only thing is that I arrived at 8 pm there was nobody, just a sign with a phone number and a key box. Hotels.com said open till 10 pm. There was not proper light to read the pincode so a smart phone was useable. But ot should be a bit more customer friendly in the november darkness. Peter"

"I bit difficult finding the place, coming from the Hamburg motoway. Perhaps a temporary problem due to roadworks."

"We arrived late in the evening, on a short notice trip. We were warmly welcomed and quickly had our rooms arranged. We left early the next morning, and returned early evening. We ate in the restaurant, it was quiet but friendly, the food was tasty. We checked out the next morning, again the reception staff were very efficient and friendly. There is a health spa and other facilities, but we never had time to enjoy them. The village looked very nice and quiet too, but again we never were able to look around."

"Excellent location for an overnight stop enroute to Denmark and with the bonus of a great view overlooking the Kiel Canal. The staff were some of the friendliest and helpful we have met on our travels. "

"The room was on the next street in apartment block. No elevator and I was on the (top) 3rd floor. No carpets anywhere so very noisy when opening/ closing doors etc. room had a fan which was needed but no air con. No kettle or coffee machine. Clean/ new but too sparse for my liking. I was unable to book the ‘ nicer’ rooms at the actual hotel. A nice hotel overall but staying in apartment wasn’t to my personal liking. Sorry! "

"I killed 30 mosquitos, 10 spiders and other bugs on the first day. There are no mosquito screens on the windows. The bathroom and the kitchen are stinky, and the cabinets are full with the stuff of the owners (combs, deodorants, shoes). The wooden furniture also stinks. Stay away from this house."
