"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "Had a great stay. Breakfast was great and the one meal we had was delicious. I'm a coeliac and they were very helpful. Had a delicious icecream sundae for pudding. The staff were amazing .Kieran and all the girls were lovely. We've stayed a few years and have noticed room's have gone a bit tired and bathroom needs regrouting . But a lovely stay as always. Can't say enough how great the staff are. "

"We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. "It was a nice room, tastefully decorated. Comfy bed, clean white bedding. Nice clean white towels. Great pressure from the shower head, plenty of hot water. Radiators were on when I arrived, so lovely and warm in the room. Fridge, microwave, utensils, breakfast bar with tall stools. TV all good."

"The single room room 1. Was a good size with sink and balcony door open to key breeze through. .the staff were great and very attentive. They gave me a fridge as i was there 1 week.. I appreciated that. I WOULD Definitely use lyndhurst again"

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. For the price (£170) would have expected a decent level coffee offer and maybe a small fridge . As a frequent traveler this would be expected at this price level . Lovely January stay

"From reception to Maggie at breakfast and the restaurant staff, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The double room was a good size, kept very warm (which was welcome given the cold January snap) and the bed comfortableThe room overlooked the outdoor eating area - January so no business there - and the kitchen roof with its extraction unit - which started around 7:30 am. Breakfast was well cooked and the flexibility given dietary issues was very welcome. The on-site parking was usually available (again January visit so not too busy)."

"The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very cozy with 4 poster bed. The food was delicious with very generous portions. You wasn’t leaving hungry. The hotel was in a great location to explore Norfolk and Suffolk "

Away for work

"Staying away for work for 1-night. Room comfortable, ensuite was small. Went to use the pool but it was very small and very busy, so didn't bother. I was in room 311, which was at the start of the corridor, so later in evening there was an amount of noise outside room with others returning to their rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Got parked in car park close to main entrance. Walked to a nearby pub for dinner. All in all a pleasant stay"
