"The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay."

The one minor glitch to the trip was having to call Vacasa repeatedly for the access code to the house, which we did not get until we are at the house. "

"What a wonderful stay! The cabins are new, well thought out, and equipped with everything you need including laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Sitting out on the screened porch in the comfy cushioned chairs was a favorite after our day’s activities. Very quiet and serene away from all the touristy stuff. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Poet's cabin. It is a nice little place for visiting the Acadia National Park area. It also has a very good sitting area outside and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming! The only issue is that the door opening to the bathroom is very low (I'm 6'2 and hit my head multiple times on the top of the door frame), and the shower is very small. The home is exactly as advertised and a great place to stay, but wanted any other "taller" people to be aware before booking."

"This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. "This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. "
