"Booked a non-smoking room six months in advance but got a room that a smoker had used the hotel did try to rectify by giving it a deep clean but a day later the smell was back again. We put up with it for the extra three days of ou stay, breakfast was just possible for Hilton hotel I would’ve expected more Good shopping centre across the road from HOTEL extra shout out to Mustafa the bell boy who was extremely helpful with all our needs. Expedia should not be listing this “hotel.” We arrived at night with a prepaid and confirmed Expedia reservation in English, only to told by people who arrived in their car that the “hotel” (it looks nothing like the pictures) was full. They then tried to take us to another place with another name. Furthermore, I don’t expect Turkish people to speak English but maybe they shouldn’t post in English on Expedia."

Our room was on the side facing the river and ocean got to watch the fishermen come and go. The location is very good to walk down the main pedestrian street to the harbour where you can find lots of good restaurants The staff at the Aybek are super nice and friendly and will help you any way they can. If I was traveling to Canakkale again. This is where I would stay again. Many restaurants are close by. The Turkish restaurants are a must try. I have always found friendly staff and excellent meals in turkey. About 5 blocks is the Trojan Horse in the center area of downtown to view. "
