"Buerkes Pass is a quirky and interesting little place to see (look online). The motel is directly across the road which was good. The setting is in beautiful countryside. You can sit outside in the garden and admire the views. You can even help to feed their sheep. The rooms are fairly small but have been well designed to have everything you need. Comfortable bed, good shower, microwave, hot plate etc.. All good. Best of all though was the relaxed friendly feeling about the place. Lovely people (and cute little dog). We loved our stay. Ps. Also a lot better value than Tekapo which is only a very short drive away. Thanks Megan"

"Mike and Julie are attentive, thoughtful and truly excellent hosts. This was our 2nd stay at the lavender farm and we wish we had booked for longer. Two adorable dogs and a very friendly cat were equally as attentive!!!! Julie’s home baked bread, pancakes and crepes were a delight. Highly recommended. John & Jackie Cornell 30 Oct - 3 Nov 24 "

"After wee hiccup at the start we had yet another great stay in this gorgeous wee house. With our adult children and dog, this place was perfect. We have stayed here previous and exactly what we need for our annual fishing weekend with friends. Definitely be back for 4th stay 😊 "

"We were happy with our stay. We did ask if we could have 2 single beds and 1 queen and were told no. When we got there we did see that the king size bed was in fact 2 singles joined together. We left it and our kids shared the bed. Everything else was great. Would have loved a dryer as it was hard to get clothes to dry."
