"The individual cabins are pretty much like the Lockwood style construction both inside and out. I guess you could say that they are a bit dated, but nice just the same. It’s quite a nice setting and very quiet. The cabin was equiped with the basics that you would require for a pleasant overnight stay. The water pressure on the shower was disappointing but apart from that it was ok. "

"I found the home dirty.. I feel we left it cleaner than we arrived, the outside wheelie bin full of rubbish, we only had five towels for five people over the four days, no face cloths only one hand towel.. location was great but for what we paid I feel we should have had more laundry and it be in a cleaner state. "

"This was a lovely unit with a great back garden where we could eat our take away dinner outside. The facility provided beach towels, a shovel (for Hot Water Beach), is convenient to the beach, and the bed and cushioned window seat were great. The chief complaint was there is no sink, other than the bathroom sink, in which to do dishes. A bathroom sink is not really a sanitary solution for dishes. We hope that the resort owners take the dishes used in any unit and run them through a dishwasher before the next guest arrives. Other than that, it was great."

Great spot

"This is a very nice place. So close to the beach. Nice deck furniture. Great umbrella for shade. Walking distance to shops and a great pub. The steps are a challenge. The best thing you can do is be prepared. If you want to lug a 36 inch suitcase down and up the stairs you will say a few bad words. If you are on a longer road trip, bring a smaller bag where you can take what you need down to the apartment. I am 70 and managed okay but would organize the stuff I need a little bit different."

"Our stay at Batch was fantastic. The accommodation was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is superb, being close to all the amenities we needed, making it very convenient for us to explore the area.We had overseas visitors with us, and they were really impressed. The proximity to local attractions and the ease of access to the beach made their visit even more enjoyable.We highly recommend Batch for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and welcoming place to stay. We will definitely be returning in the future!"

Charming Bach! We loved it here

"Very sweet Bach just blocks from a beautiful beach. We loved our time here and wish we had stayed longer (and skipped Whangamata). The host was great and the property was set up with everything you need, including a spade to borrow for hot water beach. We liked the ability to cook and appreciated the baking dishes and supplies. The out door shower works great and we were happy to borrow the kayak and rol it to the beach. Lemons growing from the lemon tree were falling off the tree and made an excellent cake. Kids were quite happy with the board games. Very special and well loved property. The only small downside was that there were night parties at two neighboring houses which made for some late noise on two of the nights. "
