"It was all wonderful right from the check-in, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a well lit and very tastefully decorated and sizeable room, with comfortable beds, two small armchairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was well appointed with a bath and a large shower head. There were some nice extra touches as well, a small bottle of milk on arrival and later in the stay, plus bottled water, plenty of teabags etc. The food at breakfast was very nice too. The situation is marvellous, a short walk to the High Street and the Wetherspoons and other pubs/restaurants. Stamford is a lovely town with a great atmosphere and a park very near the centre. Burghley House is a short drive or a walk of just a few miles if you are a lot younger than us! We didn't get to Rutland Water, but we will go next time - because we definitely want to go back. All in all a brilliant break, hopefully to be repeated a few times at least. "

"The Bull Hotel proved to be a great choice for a quick stopover in Peterborough (7 minute walk from the train station). It’s an older hotel but has lots of charm. I’d recommend it for a short stay. A surprisingly good price was an extra bonus ! "

"We were checked in by a friendly person who made us feel welcome. We had booked a room with a balcony. Bliss. Its great being able to open the door for fresh air. I love seeing people playing off the tee outside. The lady servicing the room was helpful and friendly. We re-used our towels and had our milk replenished. Our 3rd stay and we hope to stay again in the future. "

"It was a really lovely hotel. Very friebdly night receptionist. I only got to the hotel at 11pm and left at 9.30 the next morning, but my room was super clean and very comfortable. The only thing that could have made it better was more sockets, but really that's such a tiny thing. I just unplugged something else and plugged my bits in. Bed was really comfy. "

"The only thing is that you don’t do room service, and the bar stops serving food at 7pm on a Saturday night.. which forces us to dine in the restaurant which is far too formal for our chilled out night after a long day racing "
