"The staff were very helpful and the rooms very clean. They seemed to have been recently renovated. The hotel was situated close to the centre of town. However, the area around the hotel seemed dirty and there were many vacant shops etc. "

"Excellent hotel; very modern and new. Only drawback was the check-in. Our flight arrived at 10 and we were at the hotel at 1045. Staff said room was ready as there is a queue for cleaning. I do understand that, but we finally got our room at 2PM. It would have been nice to perhaps bump it up for people waiting. Otherwise, hotel was excellent, food in the restaurant was lovely, in room massage was great. Staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended. "

"One of the best Pullman hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Not only it’s very central, they provide you with free public transport for your stay (apparently a lot of hotels in Basel do this), their service was warm and friendly, they provide you with bottles of still and sparkling water! Also memory foam pillows! Which was what I needed after a long day! "

"It's in great location, walkable from the main train station and also walkable to the main touristy/restaurant area of the city. The room we had was huge, more like a small apartment. Everything was in great condition and checkin was super easy. Having the free bus pass was very handy, as it meant we could make our way back to the airport at no extra charge (you need bus 50 to get to the airport, it stops just on the left hand side (as you are walking out) of the main entrance to the SBB station. The only slight negative is the room felt quite warm, which was the case for all of the hotels we stayed in in Switzerland. We had air con but turning that down didn't make too much of a difference. But I would say this is a great place to stay if visiting Basel or even if you are just transiting through e.g. making your way to or from the mountains. "
