"Once inside, the property is very nice. But FINDING it is impossible without careful assistance from the owner. The street address given by VRBO does not exist. The property access is off a run down alley BEHIND where the street address would be. No navigation system in the world could find this place. You have to carefully go down the parallel alley and look for the property. The owner emailed me pictures of the property from the alley which was the ONLY way to actually find it."

"My stay at Hopkins Retreat was amazing. The location was beautiful, and the early morning views were so peaceful, I didn’t want to leave. The hot tub was a great addition – relaxing in it while enjoying the scenery was perfect. I can’t wait to book another stay!"

"Great location. Property needs to be updated and have clear internal issues repaired/replaced. The damage deposit asks you to take photos of all damage - this took a long time!! Curtain rail fell on my daughter when pulled - it was clear it had been bodge repaired multiple times. Photos on VRBO are of the property when new - but it is very tired inside now and some monies need spending to bring it up to the level it is being sold at. A real shame as the location is perfect."

"Lovely house in a nice location. A river at the back wirh a field of sheep to overlook. It is in a small and very quiet estate. We did not hear anyone. All we could hear was the river. The house is all you need for a stay, clean, well equipped, good communucation. Parking at the front. There were 5 of us , 2 adults and 3 children, 13, 10 & 7. We were more then comfortable with pleanty of space. Good cooking facilities and pleanty of storage space "

"The property was up 4 flights of stairs, had zero air-conditioning or fans, wasn't properly stocked (no toilet paper or paper towels), missing kitchen tools (spatula, peeler, blunt knives, and not even a cutting board), only one bed out of 3 had a proper mattress, smelled of cigarettes, and no details on oven, stove top, washer, or tv. We cook so seeing no spices was disappointing, street sounds constant due to open windows (it was stuffy and hot), rats behind building due to overflow rubbish...
