"We ventured up to Crystal River for the Manatees and to check the area out for for possible retirement. Neither happened. We both wound up with Covid and never made it past the adirondak chairs on the deck. But what a lovely place to be sick. Would 100% recommend."

"Since I was traveling alone, I was very hesitant about booking Moonhaze, and I am so glad that I did! IF you are a city person this might not be the place for you, because it's more a country setting where you can see the stars in the night sky, but what's great is that it only 10 miles to the action of Crystal River Fl.  Not to mention it’s a short drive to Rainbow Springs.  Brian was great,  he kept his distance, but was right there, if I needed something.  As a single female I felt totally comfortable being there and had no issues.   If you are looking for something outside of the hustle of Crystal River,  I really suggest checking out Crystal River State Park especially towards sunset.  I didn’t find this place until my last day there, but it has a nice area to cookout and watch the sunset.  Don’t forget bug spray, I was eaten alive by some tiny biting bugs.    Another great place is KP Hole Park in Dunnellon Fl, I rented a kayak and kayak up the River to Rainbow Springs State Park, which was roughly a 2.5 hr round trip.  The kayak rental is 10.00 an hr, plus a 7.00 fee for parking at KP Hole Park"

"Went snorkeling with manatees in Crystal River and stayed for the weekend. Cool little place right on the water. Enjoyed our stay!"

"Lovely property with an apartment that has lots of extras. Shampoo, conditioner, coffee maker...even bottled water and some vodka seltzers. Owner was very responsive and communication was excellent. Pet deer, dog, and cat were super friendly! Relaxing visit. We were the first people to stay after the hurricane in the fall. Washer and dryer had been damaged and have not been replaced yet. If you need those facilities, make sure they are installed before you book."
