"My concerns were about the arrival process. I booked this on the train from Lisbon arriving at 2:45 pm. So I didn’t get check in details until after I arrived, so if you don’t have data you are SOL as reception closes at 3 pm ( Get that , check in at 3 ,doors shut tight at 3) I tried to call from the train and train station upon arrival but no answer. "we did late-check-in. but the way that pass the key was really irresponsible and NOT safe, I think. I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. "

"The AC never got cold even on the lowest setting. On the main area there was a strong smell, like garbage and it was there for over a day even though they came to clean the room, no one bothered to empty the trash, the smell was so bad it came into our room. The hotel is in a good area, we felt safe but far from the touristy area and the walk to the train station was long, it was hard to get UBER there so we had to walk several times. "
