"We enjoyed two nights at this grande dame which is looking a little tired. Excellent service throughout but its faded glamour does not live up to its reputation. We took an informative tour of the hotel but the hallway of fame is very underwhelming. Only a handful of famous guests are actually photographed at the hotel itself and no dates are given for when they stayed. "The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food and service was excellent. The location in the middle of Cocacabana was perfect. Rooftop pool and restaurant with views of the beach and Christ the Redeemer was also a delight. Couldn’t fault it. "

"You can walk about two minutes and be at a little supermarket. But warning there are homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk. I did feel safe at night going for a beer and something to eat on the beach almost in front of the hotel. The staff is amazing"

"This is a great hotel. Everything is great including the room, the staff and the amenity. The only downside is that Uber drivers can not find this hotel easily as the Google map would direct them to a side door that is always closed, they have to take a big detour to find the way come into the hotel. It happens to all six of my Uber drivers."

"Everybody was very helpful and very nice. The breakfast buffet had the same thing everyday and it was very average as an American they didn't have any breakfast stuff I like. My biggest complaint is the room is so small, they have no dresser drawers, and you're basically living out your suitcase or stuff on table, chair, nightstand, and the shelf in front of the TV"

"I rate this property as average because in all honesty, it's not shown as it really looks in real life, you'll be staying at the oldest building in the area, even though you're in the best area for beaches and restaurants, consider that you'll get what you're paying for. We had a misunderstanding with the check in so i recommend having your schedule well planned out. The kitchen didn't have enough tools for cooking and for a family of five, the pots and the frying pan were too small. Consider...

"My partner and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate my birthday. We were there 5 days and I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the BEST hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely diligent and on top of their game. From suggestions to fantastic restaurants and places to visit, to helping with luggage, opening our car doors and ensuring the vehicle we were getting into was correct and safe, to helping with beach setup. The breakfast was fantastic (would recommend paying extra for this service). I would like to shoutout Jay (Jairon). He catered to us from hour one until we departed and was incredible thorough and present. He made sure to book last minute reservations to a prestigious steakhouse for my birthday dinner and always looked out for us. Gabriel, at reception, was also amazing and offered solid tips and advice. Overall, we both had a great experience. We have zero complaints. Everything was wonderful!"
