"After traveling for 10 hours, we arrived by taxi to find that all the lettering had been removed from the front of the building and it was shut down. It turns out that after intensive inspections after the recent earthquake, the building was determined to be unsafe. There were personal on the scene which transported us to a nearby hotel ( The Palace) which truned out great. "This is an excellent choice for a hotel close to the airport (free shuttle) for a night before or after a flight into Guyaquil. Breakfast buffet begins at 6:30 am and has a variety of breakfast foods -- something to please every taste. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Didn't have a chance to use the fitness facilities or jacuzzi. "
