The villa was very clean and well prepared and the host was wonderful when we had a delay in our arrival. She met us at 23.00 to give us the keys and show us around. The river beach area was only 10 min walk and is great for outdoor activities. Fab stay."

"My wife and I spent five days enjoying the quiet and beauty of the Oliveira do Hospital area. Mathew’s farm was the perfect location from which we could explore the surrounding villages, vineyards and mountains of Serra da Estrela. Mathew was the absolute perfect host. He ensured that we had everything we needed in his spacious and beautifully decorated home. We so enjoyed his company, his generosity and the great discussions over wine and cheese. 😊"

"The tour around the town is really interesting, if you get the opportunity to do the private tour I’d highly recommend it, we even went into backyards to check on the almonds drying, and picked figs off the tree to eat. So relaxing and quiet. Dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant was delicious and the service brilliant, The apartment has subdued lighting which fits with the room but might not be enough for everyone, we would stay here again if in the area."

"If you’re visiting the Douro Valley, you need to stay here! Our group of six adults didn’t want to leave. Everything about the property is exceptional. We were greeted with a welcome basket of meats, cheeses, bread and fruit, as well as wine and beer. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfect after a long drive from Óbidos.
