The staff were very disinterested and at times rude. It felt like because we weren’t locals we were too much trouble to deal with. Often helping other guests who were behind us in queues. The buffet was very local food driven which is understandable. The beds were extremely hard. We asked for a mattress topper for the second night which helped a bit and I would recommend for westerners upon checking. A good location, but having stayed there several times before, I will not be heading back after this stay.

It was our first trip to China and we loved it. The Shangri_La Hotel is simply outsanding, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the Hotel itself is amazing and has everything you could want. The landscaping outside in the Garden and around the beautful Pool are just pristine. and the food was extraordinary, we planned to go out to eat to experience Chinese Food, but there was no need as the Hotel's 6 Restaurants had everything we could have hoped for. all around a magnificent Hotel, we will be back for sure

This hotel is my top choice whenever I attend the Canton Fair. The staff, particularly Mona at the front desk, provided exceptional service during check-in. If I could, I would give it 10 stars!
