"My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Guanajuato and on the recommendation of many positive Expedia reviews decided to give this Hotel a try. We were definitely not expecting to be in the heart of most of the downtown activities. The room was quaint with its era specific architecture. The staff were super attentive. "The property is beautiful and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the offer of tequila upon check-in. The only downside at check-in was that our room was on the fourth floor with no elevator, and lugging our luggage up the stairs after a long day of travel was not fun. "In it's glory days I'm sure this was a terrific property. Sadly, it has deteriorated over the years and maintenance of the outdoor areas seems to have lapsed. The placita we were in was fairly new and updated. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu offered at the restaurant was quite limited, but again staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful."
