Great, fresh air from patio doors made a perfect spot to visit over a glass of wine or coffee after 4 couples explored Florence from this convenient location just off the Piazza di Santa Croce. "This is a lovely spot just off the Ponte Vecchio. I would have given this property 5 stars except there are two things to be aware of: 1) If you have a car, you need to park in one of the garages that are between a .1-.3 mile walk away. You also need to make a reservation on your own at the garage. We were not able to do this because the reservation needed a plate number. When we arrived the garage the property recommended was full. Thankfully, they were able to send us to another nearby...

"The best thing is the location, and the accommodations were good. Having read the reviews we knew what to expect and were not surprised. The downsides were mainly the six flights of stairs and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Antonio was accommodating and offered good advice about what to see and where to eat. A couple things that could be done easily to improve the stay for guests would be to provide some closet and/or drawer space and to have a clear place in the bathroom for a guest...

"Anna was just a delightful host - because we came in late, we asked if she could provide us a simple meat/cheese tray (at our cost of course) and she provided a 4 course home made meal!!!! It was fantastic and we ate leftovers for our entire stay. The villa is just beautiful and had everything we needed and more - be sure to come in warm weather to use the pool. It's a perfect home base to explore the area - but be prepared to drive the curvy roads - which is half the fun! "
