"We are a group of 5 women (ages 55-87) and we stayed for 4 nights. This house was a perfect base for our daily trips to tour the 11 cities. While we didn’t cook much at all, we noticed the kitchen was very well equipped. We mostly just enjoyed evening snacks and wine and the water view is very tranquil. The stairs were easy to navigate for my 87-year old mother and we appreciated having bathrooms both up and downstairs. The couch was comfortable and we loved having a screen on the sliding door....

"The property is located right by a channel leading to the IJsselmeer, but sheltered enough to allow children to play by the water. The holiday resort in which it is located offers rental boats, a billard table, tennis courts, crazy golf, a play park, wind surfing, kite surfing and fresh bakery products in the morning. The beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, but you can use the bicycles provided and get there in 5. The house is perfect; spotlessly clean, lots of space and every commodity...

"We stayed in the house in mid February: The house had everything we needed for a family of 7. It was decorated very nicely and we felt at home from the very beginning. All the equipement in the house were good quality. There was nothing missing in the house that we could think of. We definitely recommend this house and will stay here again. "The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

"I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and we really enjoyed it. The town is very quiet but it's a short drive to cities like Leeuwarden and Harlingen for activities. There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. Two bicycles are provided for use so I would hop on after dinner and explore the beautiful countryside. The property is spacious for two adults and very clean and comfortable. "Our Holiday in grou was wonderful. The house was really well equipped and big enoug for all of our family + our dogs. The garden is surrounded by fences and hedges. That gives you a lot of privacy and you don`t have to worry about the dogs. The garden is big enough for playing tabletennis and badminton, which we did a lot :-) Moreover there is a little ferry 5 minutes away, which brings you to the city center for shopping or visiting restaurants or doing some waterspouts. We really recommend...

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."
