"We drove from Wisconsin to bring one child back to The Winchendon School and to tour Curry College for another. We planned to be back and forth a lot and found the location of this property decent. Our goal with renting a property is to prepare our own meals and to have a comfortable space. The kitchen had basic supplies/equipment. "The home is in a nice and safe location. Lovely exterior and interior. Nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable beds, good quality bed linens and plenty of absorbent towels. "Overall, we were happy with our stay. We were there in the winter, so we didn't get to enjoy the lake. "My brother and I stayed while we were visiting family. We found the home clean and comfortable with easy access to the highways we needed. It provided a cozy relaxing atmosphere after a day of running. Mary, the host responded quickly to questions and was very easy to work with. All in all, a great stay. Will rent again when I the area. "We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the basics. One thing of note: there is only a countertop toaster oven, not a full size oven. There is a gas cooktop as well. If you plan to cook while there, that will be an important detail. This house has a great view from the living room. "The host was nice and easy to communicate with although the place was not close to what we expected. Shower was extremely small and shower head faces the curtain and was spraying out the curtain. Bathroom door is rotted on the bottom and does not close all the way due to that. Bed in the room where the fridge is falls down why you sleep due to poor wood underneath. "We couldn’t have had a better experience! Such a beautiful cottage—immaculate, gorgeous decor, spectacular deck w/exquisite lake view, super-cozy beds, outstanding communication with hosts! We actually had local plans canceled due to a late March “wintry” ice storm, but couldn’t imagine a better place to hunker down! Hope to return! "
