"The lodge was amazing, everything you could possibly need and more. Great quality furniture and fittings. Extremely clean and a sumptuous king bed. Very comfortable lodge. "Myself, my partner Andy and our dog Willow stayed Friday to Sunday at the chickens coop and we had the most relaxing & enjoyable time. Andy enjoyed doing a bit of fishing at the lake, catching a good sized carp, whilst I enjoyed walking around it with the dog. "Throughly enjoyed our stay, we had a large party of 17 and the owners catered for our every need including high chairs, travel cots, tea, coffee and milk. The house was very clean and maintained to a high standard. The location is very private which was perfect as we were not disturbing other residents. "This is the most incredible place we have stayed at in the UK. The house was very spacious and super comfortable. The host was so helpful and exceeded our expectations with the Christmas decorations which were incredible. It was the BEST place to celebrate Christmas with our family. Highly recommend ‘The Hawthorns’ to anyone looking for something truly special!"

"Very helpful and friendly owners, great location for visiting our new granddaughter. 2 mins walk to lovely Pearsons park. Some lovely welcoming items, lots of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and cake all vegan as owners are, a couple of things i would suggest is maybe a door curtain could be put in place as there was no privacy going from the bathroom across the kitchen to the bedroom also there was no smoke alarm present. All in all a nice stay 👍 "
