Navy RTC PIR weekend
My family & I loved staying in this home. It was about 20 min to Great Lakes. The spaces were just right for us. It had so many great places to hang out inside, outside & down the street to the lake. Cozy, clean, well organized & decorated. Our 2 sons loved their bedroom with the ping pong table. It was a great place for our son to unwind after graduating from the Navy boot camp. We would stay here again.

Spent a quiet Thanksgiving here with family needed to be near Lake Forest. House is spacious and beds comfortable but had to do some spot cleaning myself as it wasn’t detailed in every room. Owner was good with communication and responded well to all requests. Would be nice if there were TVs in bedrooms but Overall had a good stay.

Great stay!
Had the pleasure of experiencing a wonderful stay at this property recently. I reached out to the host about the hvac and cleaning given a recent review, and they confirmed that had been addressed. The home indeed was wonderful, sparkling clean, and seemed recently renovated with thoughtful additions like fooseball and ping pong! We enjoyed the spacious home and many private rooms. Already planning a return trip in the summer to make the most of the beach next door. Highly recommend this gem!

The house seemed to be like the pictures, however upon arrival it had a deep musty smell and the rugs an furniture were dirty and stained. We had to rr wash several dishes and utensils to use safely. The heater vents are filthy and upon deeper look the HVAC system hadn’t been inspected nor professionally cleaned for a few years. We had to wash the bedding as over concerns of not being cleaned properly as well. The host answered when we inquired immediately, but seemed not very concerned about our issues and was reluctant to offer any type of discount for all the cleaning we had to do to complete our stay.

Great vacation
Very nice property. Worked well for our family vacation (4 adults and 4 children). Lots of stairs if that is a problem for you. Only issue i had (and maybe i just missed it in the property listing) was they have a no street shoes in the house policy that we didn't realize. We didn't bring slippers, so mostly ran around barefoot, which was fine with me but my husband didn't like.

Would definitely stay again!
We were here for my sons graduation from Great Lakes. The house was a wonderful family space. We had 8 adults with plenty of room. The location was near stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the fire pit and walks by the lake. He wanted some home cooking and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was quick with responses and everything was just like the site descriptions. Thank you for being a part of our family memories!!

Oh Gosh where can I start!!! All 5 stars!!!
Again, I don’t know how to start but here we go!! We booked this place for my brothers Navy graduation. It’s 15mins from the Naval base. The host was very accommodating!!!! I mean, reserving it before we knew that my brother was going to graduate and right down to the last day the second payment was due, we didn’t hear a confirmation that we was going to attend graduation. So I contacted the host if it can be extended till a certain day so we can wait for our Sailors call, they did. If I was to cancel the reservation, we would lose the reservation and then try and rebook something else again, but I didn’t have to do that because the host worked with me and everything worked out. Instructions to check was very clear. We had to extend the late check out, it was done too. Our sailor had liberty 2 days and so we extended our check out time and the host was available for it!! Overall, I had a great experience!!! We family was able to watch the LIVE ceremony at home too. Anyways, thank you again for the wonderful experience! Faafetai:)!

Great place for our family reunion
This house was wonderful. The host was very responsive and always quickly responded to my questions or messages. All the items we needed were available to us. The only things I would tell anyone else that would like to stay here is that I had multiple seniors in my group and there were a lot of stairs for that age group. The other thing is that although there are 2 toilets and 2 showers - they are not all in the same places. The 3 bathrooms are split up in a way I had never seen before. The bathroom in the basement is only a shower and sink, no toilet. I only mention these as it may be pertinent to some groups depending on the age groups that will be staying there. Overall it was wonderful and we absolutely loved the house and host!!

Great Lake Vacation Spot
Asmah's house near Gages Lake was perfect for my family and me. The location was ideal for us. The house was setup up well for our 3 couples and single with plenty of space for sleeping, card games and TV watching. Given it's location I plan to use this house again in the future.

Accommodated us perfectly!
The house is fabulous. Tri levels made it fairly sound proof. Those who played games downstairs did not disturb those upstairs. Everything we needed (except food) for our weekend stay was included plus some left-over supplies (condiments / dry food items) from past guests. All appliances AND the gas grill worked well, though it would have been nice to have a working icemaker or ice cube trays. The pictures made the yard look much bigger than it was, though there is a park nearby for outdoor activities. There are plenty of restaurants, bar and grills, grocery stores nearby. Communication with the host was outstanding. Responses within 24 hours, usually less, esp. during the stay. Check in and out very simple. Instructions easy to follow. The "manual" information binder could be a little more complete and include local phone numbers for emergencies and the address of the residence for quick reference (instead of relying on looking it up on our phones). We chose this location because it was far enough from GLakes Naval base, yet only a 20 minute easy drive there. I'll be sure to return hopefully in 6 months when our son graduates from A school. We stayed here for the weekend when our daughter graduated from Boot Camp. It was a perfect home away from home. The house was very clean, cozy and overall wonderful. The kids enjoyed some of the board games, pool table and walking down the street to play at the playground.

The side room with two beds was called the fun room for our entire stay. No way that room isn’t one of the coolest aspects of the house. Was a bit bummed there wasn’t a pool rack but we managed. There were lots of really nice and cool things included like a fondue pot and little basic necessities. (shampoo, toothpaste, board games, creamer, coffee, wake board for the lake, heater for the hammock area, etc) Definitely bigger than it appears, the blankets were awesome, loved our stay.

Great big house!
My family and some friends family had a wonderful weekend at this big nice house. The house is neat and full of considering details for our convenience. There are so many entertainments and the kids had so many fun together. The neighborhood is nice and quiet too. It is a good place to have family and friends together and enjoy time at Chicago.
