"Great little place if you want to avoid some of the more exorbitant places in kruger. Saw the big 5 after a day and a half, plus cheetah, giraffe, hippo and plenty more. The 3 nights we stayed was plenty. "

"With out doubt one of the best holidays ever. Fantastic place, people and service. Could not fault anything. If you want a South African Experience then Mafigeni is the place. So many things to do and see in the immediate area including Kruger National Park. Self drive or guided if it's you first time you will not be dissapointed. Mirelle very welcoming and took us on tour of hotel area to show us hippos and took us to room, she also recommended 3 bridges restaurant 5 minutes drive away which was excellent and had lovely gift shop next door with beautiful objects made by locals. ask for accommodation near river , we wished we had as can watch hippos from there to your hearts content ! "The stay at ATKV Eiland is amazing. Good value for money, and wurth every cent. Tidy and clean. All the facilities is there to keep you occupied and busy. Or else you can just relax next to the clean swimming pool with the restaurant right there. Table tennis, jukskei, bowls, all available. Will definitely be spending more time at this resort!!!"

"Karongwe River Lodge is simply PERFECT! We couldn’t recommend it more. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had a incredible view of the river, where we often saw various types of animals (crocodiles, giraffes, impalas, inhalas, hipos, and more). The staff is very welcoming and thoughtful to our every need. Very kind people indeed. We incredibly well received and treated by every single person who assisted us in the lodge. Really remarkable! The meals were also very good! Fresh, made with care, very well cooked and plent. I think we even put in a few pounds in three days lol Nevertheless the greatness of everything, the game drives were the high point in our stay. Truly amazing! Bethuel (our designated ranger) and Ludwick (tracker) were the best! Very competent at their work and incredibly nice and kind people. We enjoyed every minute in Karongwe! And we certainly are coming back soon! "
